Official French tax texts, one question away

The firm makes three ways into the same sources available to everyone: France's tax treaties, BOFiP guidance, the French General Tax Code and the Tax Procedure Book. Every answer quotes the official text and its reference. None of these tools writes an opinion.

In ChatGPT

Installing the MCP server, step by step

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets an assistant query an external service. You install it once; no authentication is required.

Server address, to paste into your assistant

https://outils.bensaid-avocats.fr/mcp

Claude (claude.ai and desktop app)

  1. Open Claude in your browser or in the desktop app, then the "Connectors" section (under "Customize"; in some versions, "Settings").
  2. Choose "Add", then "Add custom connector".
  3. Name: French taxation. URL: https://outils.bensaid-avocats.fr/mcp. Leave authentication and headers empty.
  4. Confirm with "Add". The connector is available on the web and in the desktop app.
  5. In a conversation, open the "+" button at the bottom left, then "Connectors", and turn on "French taxation".

Free (one custom connector), Pro and Max plans. On Team or Enterprise plans, the organisation owner adds the connector, then each member chooses "Connect". With Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http fiscalite-francaise https://outils.bensaid-avocats.fr/mcp.

ChatGPT (developer mode)

  1. On chatgpt.com, open "Settings", then "Apps", "Advanced settings", and turn on developer mode.
  2. Still under "Apps", choose "Create".
  3. Enter the name French taxation, paste the address https://outils.bensaid-avocats.fr/mcp and select no authentication.
  4. Run the tool scan, then confirm. The app appears with a "Dev" label.
  5. Open a new chat and select the app from the tools menu, or mention it with @.

According to OpenAI's help centre, developer mode is limited to ChatGPT on the web, on Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans; on Business, only admins can turn it on; on Enterprise and Edu, the admin grants access. As the firm's tools are read-only, a Pro plan is enough. Without one of these plans, use the firm's ChatGPT assistant or the atlas.

Cursor

  1. With Cursor installed on your computer, use the installation link below.
  2. Cursor opens and shows the "fiscalite-francaise" server: confirm the installation.
  3. In Cursor's settings, MCP section, check that the server is active and that its seven tools are listed.
  4. Ask your question in Cursor's chat, in Agent mode.

Install in Cursor

Manual installation: add this block to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project).

            "url": "https://outils.bensaid-avocats.fr/mcp"

}

The same address works in any client that supports the Streamable HTTP transport.

What the tool does not do

No written answers

The tools return official texts and their references. Any summary is produced by your assistant, under its own responsibility: check it against the quoted text.

No advice

No tool assesses a situation or collects facts. The domestic law of other States, case law and texts published after the corpus date are not taken into account.

No personal data

No account, no cookie, no storage of question text. Do not include names or anything that identifies a person: your questions pass through your assistant, whose privacy policy applies.

Nothing written

All tools are read-only: they change nothing, send no message and act on no account.

Disclaimer

These tools reproduce the tax treaties published by the French tax administration (impots.gouv.fr), BOFiP guidance, articles of the French General Tax Code and Tax Procedure Book published on Légifrance, reused under the Etalab 2.0 open licence, and legislation parameters coded by OpenFisca France, as they stood on the corpus date stated in each answer. They do not take into account the facts of any particular situation, the domestic law of either State, case law, or texts published after that date. They provide general information and do not constitute legal advice. Only the texts published in the Journal officiel are authoritative.

A text is read with the facts

Residence, location of assets, nature of income, each State's domestic law: the applicable article is only a starting point. For a specific situation, the firm offers an initial discussion.
